At NFL Combine, Here's Who All 32 Teams May Take
The NFL Combine is here, which means that in a few days, the draft board will shift dramatically. Players always rise and fall. The athletic testing makes some players look like better prospects, while others might see their stock drop because they're slower or less athletic than everyone thought. Before that happens, here's where all 32 teams stand.
NFL mock draft before Combine results
Picks 1-8
Fernando Mendoza, who won't throw at the NFL Combine, is going first overall to the Las Vegas Raiders. There is no chance they make any other pick or trade down.
Arvell Reese might be the best prospect overall, so the New York Jets will take him second as a consolation prize for not getting Mendoza or Dante Moore, who stayed in college.
David Bailey doesn't have the same concerns as Rueben Bain Jr., so the Arizona Cardinals make the safer pick with the third selection.
The Tennessee Titans have to get Cam Ward a true WR1, so they'll go with the best wide receiver in the class: Carnell Tate.
The New York Giants could also use another weapon, and since they like Cam Skattebo, they will skip Jeremiyah Love and go with Jordyn Tyson fifth.
The Cleveland Browns don't really have a QB, but they need someone to help protect whoever they end up going with, so they pick Spencer Fano sixth.
The Washington Commanders' biggest need is an edge rusher, so they will be pleased if Rueben Bain Jr. falls to them at seven overall.
Alvin Kamara's New Orleans Saints tenure is probably over, so the Saints can replace him with the best running back in the class: Jeremiyah Love.
Picks 9-16 before NFL Combine
The Kansas City Chiefs need a lot of things, but they'll go best player available and get safety Caleb Downs, a steal at ninth overall.
The Cincinnati Bengals need defense badly, so while they'll hate to miss out on Downs, they can get his teammate, LB Sonny Styles, instead.
The Miami Dolphins need a lockdown cornerback, and fortunately, the best one in the class is available. They select LSU corner Mansoor Delane.
The Dallas Cowboys also need defense, and edge rusher Keldric Faulk fills a big need and will hopefully help them fill the gap left by Micah Parsons.
The NFL playoffs proved that the Los Angeles Rams need cornerbacks. They take Jermod McCoy, who might be the best if he hadn't gotten injured, with the 13th pick.
There are whisperings that Justin Madubuike is going to retire sooner rather than later. Picking Peter Woods here gives the Baltimore Ravens a succession plan.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could use a tight end, and this is their best shot at getting one. Kenyon Sadiq is the only first-round prospect at the position.
The New York Jets also do not have a QB yet. However, providing whoever they roll with another weapon is smart. Pairing Makai Lemon and Garrett Wilson will be a nightmare for opposing defenses.
Picks 17-24
The Detroit Lions will want to beef up their offensive line. Taking Francis Mauigoa here is not only a steal but a good fit.
The Minnesota Vikings' biggest need is cornerback. Avieon Terrell fell right into their laps, making this an easy choice.
The Carolina Panthers have to address the edge. Akheem Mesidor isn't the best value, but he's the best edge rusher here.
The Cowboys addressed defense earlier, but offensive tackle is another weak spot. They can draft Caleb Lomu.
Ty Simpson is the only other first-round QB prospect in this class. The Pittsburgh Steelers badly need to find a legitimate, long-term option, so they pick him 21st.
The Los Angeles Chargers need to beef up the interior of their defense. OSU DT Kayden McDonald will make a nice interior weapon.
The offensive line was not as strong for the Philadelphia Eagles last year. They were especially weak at tackle, which is why Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor makes sense.
Cleveland is going to protect its QB now, but there's not much to throw to. Adding Boston College wide receiver Denzel Boston 24th changes that.
Picks 25-32
The Chicago Bears' top need is a defensive tackle. The best prospect left is a defensive tackle: Florida standout Caleb Banks.
Josh Allen needs a wide receiver badly, so the Buffalo Bills are taking one. The best left is Texas A&M speedster KC Concepcion.
The San Francisco 49ers had the lowest sack total of any team in the NFL in 2025. They'll get 2025 first-rounder Mykel Williams back, and they can pair 2026 first-rounder Cashius Howell with him.
Protecting C.J. Stroud should be the top priority for the Houston Texans. They will pick Georgia tackle Monroe Freeling here to accomplish that.
It was mentioned that the Rams need cornerbacks. They should double up here and land South Carolina cornerback Brandon Cisse.
The Denver Broncos will want to continue adding weapons for Bo Nix. The only one that makes sense here is Chris Bell.
With the 31st pick, the New England Patriots should add a pass rusher. T.J. Parker out of Clemson will be a nice addition.
Finally, the Seattle Seahawks will need to replace Riq Woolen. Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood wraps up round one.
