Best Bets for Monday Night Football: Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers

We’re putting a lid on Week 15 of the NFL season with this Monday Night Football matchup, featuring the Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers in a huge AFC clash. The Steelers are listed as three-point favorites, with the total currently at 41.5 points, and everyone is geared up for the big game.

Believe it or not, but the Dolphins still have a path to making the playoffs as they carry a four-game winning streak into tonight – and winning five of the last six. The Steelers capitalized on the struggles of the Baltimore Ravens, now sitting atop the AFC North by a single game.

It is true that both teams desperately need this game to stay in their respective playoff hunts, but only one can win. Below, I’ll give you a glimpse into my best bets for the Dolphins-Steelers MNF matchup. All three of my best bets will be player props, which includes moves on Jaylen Waddle, Tua Tagovialoa, and Jaylen Warren.

Let’s dive in and see what will be making profits for the people tonight!

Best Bets for Monday Night Football: Dolphins at Steelers

Jaylen Waddle: Longest Catch – Over 22.5 Yards (-110)

Pittsburgh is allowing league-highs in receptions (14.1), targets (22.5), and receiving yards per game (171.8) to the WR position. This secondary is also allowing the third-most yards after catch (60.3) and seeing the sixth-most air yards (111.4) this season. In fact, the Steelers have allowed a catch of 20+ yards in all but one game this season.

As for the man himself, Waddle has a long catch exceeding 22.5 yards in nine of his 13 games this season, which includes doing it in five of the last six games. All of the stars are aligning for Waddle to pop off big-time in this contest, and a long catch is certainly in the cards.

Tua Tagovialoa: Over 199.5 Passing Yards (-114)

Dolphins RB Devon Achane got a little banged up in last weeks’ win against the Jets, so I would expect his usage to come down a slight bit. This should open it up a bit for Tagovialoa, who hasn’t thrown for 200+ yards in each of his last four games.

I mentioned Waddle in the pick above, but a lot of those same metrics apply to Tua’s great matchup tonight. All but two QBs have thrown for 200+ yards this season, and one of those misnomers went for 199.

Jaylen Warren: Over 14.5 Receiving Yards (-111)

According to the odds, it looks like the Dolphins could pull the upset over the Steelers tonight. If that game script holds true, I’d expect Pittsburgh to be throwing the ball a bit more, especially towards the end of the game.

The Dolphins are allowing the eighth-most receiving yards per game (36.8) to RBs, and that’s even with allowing not a single one last week against the putrid Jets; prior to that game, they allowed three straight RB1s to get 20+ receiving yards. Surprisingly, Miami has done a solid job against the run in recent weeks, so Pittsburgh will need to get creative in how they get Warren the football.
