What Works for Fanatics Sportsbook & What Doesn’t

For starters, the Fanatics Sportsbook platform integrates seamlessly with the true moneymaker: the company's merchandise. Bettors can earn FanCash (bonus bets) on each wager, and if you accumulate enough of those “dollars,” you can put that towards official jerseys, hoodies, or however else you’d like to rep your favorite team. All of us sports bettors should have a soft spot in our hearts for Fanatics Sportsbook, considering they were the first ones to offer the Fair Play Policy (early injury forgiveness on player props), which nearly every company has adopted by now.

Of course, some things will make you second-guess signing up with Fanatics Sportsbook. For one, they don’t have a desktop website version of the sportsbook, so business must be done via phone or tablet. Also, since this is a newer venture for the company, you won't find a top-notch customer service department or extensive betting markets. 

Overall, I do believe you’ll find more to shake your head at than to shake your head over. Just know that you’re dealing with the new kid on the block, and some of these frustrations might actually get fixed one day.

Fanatics Sportsbook laces you up at the start with one of the most interesting welcome offers you’ll find anywhere. This particular deal spans the course of 10 days, allowing you to get up to $100 in FanCash back per day if your selected wager comes out on the losing end. If you’re really going through the wringer and lose 10 straight selected bets, you could wind up with the maximum amount of $1,000 in FanCash from the welcome offer.

No Desktop Website Version? No Problem for Mobile Users (4/5)

As mentioned already, Fanatics Sportsbook is only available in the mobile form - phone or tablet – with no desktop website. For someone like me, who spends endless hours in front of a computer, this is certainly not in my wheelhouse. I like having a full screen (sometimes two or three) to work with.

Alright, let’s get down to the actual app. As its only lifeline, the app rates quite strongly on both iOS (4.8 out of 5, based on 216k+ reviews) and Google Play Store (4.7 out of 5, based on 47k+ reviews). That’s good news, considering all of Fanatics Sportsbook’s resources go in that direction. I do love the dark color scheme. Both the market selection and betslip screens are easy to navigate, and your FanCash tracker is always at the forefront. 

In comparison to other notable companies in the sports betting space, you’ll find that Caesars Sportsbook rates at 4.7 out of 5 (101k+ reviews) on iOS, and 4.6 out of 5 (33k+ reviews) on Android. Meanwhile, FanDuel Sportsbook is rated 4.8 out of 5 (2M+ reviews) on iOS and 4.5 out of 5 (385k+ reviews) on Android. 

I am giving the Fanatics Sportsbook mobile app a perfect 5 out of 5 score! Honestly, I was looking for some holes to poke in this section with the lack of negative reviews online, but I definitely like what I see in this format. I’m not looking for much out of sportsbook apps: don’t log me out and make me re-enter my password every 30 seconds, let me find what I’m looking for easily, and make us bettors feel special. Fanatics Sportsbook meets all of those requirements.

Live Betting at Fanatics Sportsbook (4.5/5)

The live betting feature at Fanatics Sportsbook is pretty sweet, with a few helpful nudges for bettors. For instance, when the odds are getting better or worse, you’ll see the odds colored in green or red; it might be a small nod, but we could use all the help we can get in these split-second decisions. I appreciated that!

All of the major markets - like moneyline, spread, totals - are available in live betting. However, some of the hidden gems you’ll find here in-game include Same Game Parlays, alternate lines, and even an early cash-out feature. Live streaming is available for many of the top leagues, so you can watch the game while homing in on your next wager.

Comparing Fanatics Sportsbook vs Competition

Believe it or not, but I believe Fanatics Sportsbook has the upper hand on Caesars and FanDuel. Of course, it’s all about preference, and everyone is going to have a different take. 

In terms of winning and sportsbooks promos , I can’t tell you how many times the injury forgiveness has helped me out on NFL touchdown parlays and NHL points parlays - literally just happened the other night to me. Caesars did come in as a close second due to odds, but I truly believe you’re not getting the best bang for your buck with FanDuel. Let’s dive into some more details:

Markets & Odds: Competitive But Not the Sharpest (4.3/5)

Fanatics Sportsbook is fairly basic in its sports betting operations, with competitive odds on major sports across the United States (NFL/CFB, NBA/CBB, MLB, NHL), as well as some emerging ones like soccer, NASCAR, MMA/boxing, and PGA/LIV golf. I rarely delve outside the latter category, but some folks noted that the number of sports is much smaller here than at other brands, limited to cycling, darts, and esports. 

When it comes to the odds, Fanatics Sportsbook creates its own in-house. Since it is in an arms race with the industry's top names, Fanatics can offer more bettor-friendly odds and take some business away from the heavyweights. I have noticed the more favorable lines here, particularly on popular prop bets like touchdowns and home runs during those sports’ respective regular seasons. All of the popular bet types are there, including Same Game Parlays and live betting. We can’t forget that Fanatics Sportsbook is the godfather of the injury-forgiveness game, so many props are due there. 

Overall, I think it’s fair to give Fanatics Sportsbook an 4.3 out of 5 for its markets and odds. I do love the fact that Fanatics at least tries to give bettors a more realistic chance of winning, and even offers up continuous odds boosts. That goes a long way with many customers, so they should be praised for it.

FanCash Rewards Program: Right Up the Fanatic’s Alley (4/5)

In August 2025, the company launched its Fanatics ONE program, which ties into everything from betting to shopping to engagement across the different Fanatics platforms. As for the sports betting platform, each bet you place earns you FanCash, which is self-described by them as the “currency of sport.” 

There are different levels of how much FanCash you can earn on each bet (seen in the FAQ at the bottom), but the overall idea is that the higher the odds, the more you’ll earn. As an example, a bet with -110 odds earns you anywhere from .01% to 1% in FanCash back, but a bet with +6100 odds will earn you anywhere from 9% to 10% back. 

Now, we also have to be honest, in that the rewards at Fanatics aren’t as flashy as they are at BetMGM or Caesars, but you will get to the rewards quicker here. In my industry-wide search, Fanatics Sportsbook has the fastest earning program among major sportsbooks. And that makes sense since you’re getting an NBA jersey instead of a flight to Vegas. In previous reviews for BetMGM and Caesars, I wrote about being able to win your significant other’s praises with those exotic trips and experiences. Still, you won’t have that luxury here.

As a huge sports fan, I’ll rate the Fanatics ONE program as an 4 out of 5. You might not have that same rating if you’re looking for those high-roller perks, but I do like that Fanatics put their merch on the table for the people. I think if you set your expectations for what you can earn with the rewards, it’s a solid bargain. 

Forking Over the Money (4/5)

Fanatics offers most of the popular deposit methods, but there is one glaring absence: credit cards. That’s right, folks. You won’t be able to deposit money to your Fanatics account from your flashy piece of plastic, but rest assured, one of the available options should be able to suit your needs.

Get Dat Money… At Some Point (3.5/5)

Fanatics Sportsbook offers fewer options for customers, notably missing the Play+ Card. However, there are plenty of ways to withdraw money, and many of them are readily available to the public. I’ll give them a 3.5 out of 5, based on a few options not being there, and customers have spoken out about payouts taking longer than advertised. 

Customer Support: Lots of Work Ahead (2.5/5)

There is definitely a common misconception that Fanatics merch and Fanatics Sportsbook/Casino/Markets are all under the same umbrella. I saw a lot of people upset that the phone number didn’t work, but the two common numbers listed were either a dead line or one that led to the main merch operation. If you’re trying to reach Fanatics Sportsbook, you can call them at 1-800-254-0320 - I tried the number myself and was on the phone with a live agent during normal business hours. It took me longer to get to the live agent than I anticipated, and I’ll have my opinion on that in a bit. 

Much like other sportsbooks, the 24/7 live chat is the way to go here; an A.I. chatbot welcomes you, and if further assistance is needed, a live agent will step in to save your day. Remember, there is no desktop website version of Fanatics Sportsbook, and you’ll have to do this on your phone and keep refreshing, which is certainly frustrating. Emailing [email protected] was equally as frustrating due to the lack of timely response and spacing out. 

I’ve always found that reaching out on X/Twitter (@FanaticsBook or @FBG_Support) is the best move. Plus, you can always start raising hell in the virtual town square if no one responds to you. Pro tip: This is especially helpful with the airlines. The Fanatics Sportsbook customer service has taken an absolute beating online, and it’s not hard see why. I don’t know for sure, but it seems they are trying to cut corners with an automated-dominant response team on multiple levels. Don’t love doing this, but I’m giving their customer service department a 2.5 out of 5. I had my own frustrations with ordering merch during last year’s MLB Playoffs, so this appears to be an issue that will linger until a major overhaul. 

Real User Feedback for Fanatics Sportsbook on Reddit & Trustpilot

It should be noted that there is no Trustpilot review directly related to Fanatics Sportsbook; rather, the review is for the Fanatics brand as a whole, which skews some of the rating numbers. Nevertheless, real-user feedback is a mixed bag, with comments from the always unforgiving Reddit and Trustpilot communities echoing similar sentiments. 

Let’s start with the good: folks do love the smooth mobile app and rewards perks that let customers get official merchandise from their favorite teams or players at either free or highly-discounted prices. Of course, the Fair Play initiative won customers over early, giving it a strong foothold among the truly loyal.  

On the other hand, the pitchforks are out! Users have expressed frustrations with the lackadaisical customer service and shady practices. Some customers claim they were limited after winning too much, while others were upset that open bets were not paid out, and there was even a complaint about a Jake Paul fight being confirmed as a win but not paid out. One Reddit user even said, “I honestly think the Fanatic sportsbook will eventually close in the next 2 years…” So far, that user is wrong, but we’ll see if Fanatics Sportsbook is the latest one to falter. 

Legal & Licensing 

All 23 U.S. states (plus Washington, D.C.) where Fanatics Sportsbook legally operates are regulated by state governments, such as the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Fanatics Sportsbook got off to a smooth start in acquiring these licenses due to the 2023 acquisition of PointsBet, which already had a foothold in most of the territories.

Just like in the casino industry, sportsbooks must be partnered with a retail casino, horsetrack, tribal group, lottery, or an approved organization to hold a sports betting license. Fanatics Sportsbook has complied with these rules and partnered with at least one legally operating location.

In all cases, Fanatics Sportsbook uses SSL encryption for data, keeps players’ account funds in segregated trust accounts, goes through KYC and geolocation checks, and undergoes independent audits for transparency and fairness. So far, Fanatics Sportsbook has not had many major data breaches, compliance failures, or license revocations.

Responsible Gaming Needs Improvement (3/5)

Fanatics Sportsbook has a great wealth of tools in its responsible gaming tab, which you can find in your account settings. Here, you can set limits on the time you spend playing, as well as how much money you can deposit or lose over a certain period of time. You can even do your best impression of a basketball coach and take a timeout to regroup. Or, if things get bad enough, you can opt out for an extended period. The 1-800-GAMBLER is listed on various parts of the app, but there are even more engaging ways to ask for help. With the “Play with a Plan” campaign, there are tutorials, best-practice tips, and guidance on having fun within your means. 

There was one noted issue in late 2025, as the Koester vs Fanatics Inc court case uncovered that Fanatics failed to enforce its cool-down periods, as bettors were able to bet within the stated 24 hours they were not supposed to be active; this case ranged to users in CO, IA, IN, LA, MI, and NY. In other instances, in MA, Fanatics had to pay hefty fines for taking wagers on in-state college football games and on unauthorized UFC markets. 

I’m not sure how much some of these latter instances will affect the bettor, but the self-exclusion tools are designed to limit the bettor – and they did not do that. This feels like a much bigger problem, considering Fanatics is supposed to be aimed more at the casual bettor, rather than the high roller. Big miss on Fanatics’ part there in terms of earning trust with its customer base.

Final Verdict: 3.5/5 - You Can Do Better

I must say, this is the most up-and-down review I have ever written. On the one hand, we’re all gushing about the tie-in with the merch empire (which has its own issues), and on the other, we’ve got people wondering how long this venture will last. 

It appears that Fanatics Sportsbook is simply catering to diehard sports fans (the fanatics), rather than high-rolling bettors, who have voiced their displeasure loudly. I do not want to speak for everyone, but I believe this mission statement was lost along the way. While there are plenty of sportsbooks to choose from, there are lots of high-volume bettors who also consider themselves to be Fanatics. This will be yet another lesson in the business world that more often than not, you can’t be everything to everyone. 

Personally, I hate that there’s no desktop website version of Fanatics Sportsbook. When I bet, I’ve got numerous screens up, and going to my cell phone is more of a distraction than anything else. I am someone who shops around for the best available odds, and that’s where Fanatics Sportsbook comes into play for me. 

For all of those reasons, I’ll give Fanatics Sportsbook a 3.5 out of 5 rating. The day they get an actual website is the day I’ll use them more frequently.
